Gian & Giachen: Crystal Hunt with Madlaina

Playful jump-and-run adventure with educational content

The well-known Graubünden ibexes Gian & Giachen accidentally knock a valuable rainbow crystal down the mountain. To find the scattered crystal pieces again, they send the marmot Madlaina on an adventurous journey through five Graubünden holiday regions.

Designed for children

In the lovingly illustrated mobile jump-and-run game, players take on the role of Madlaina, overcome obstacles, master different challenges, and playfully discover the mountain world of Graubünden. Each region forms its own world of experiences and combines fun gameplay with characteristic landscapes, animals, and special features of the Swiss Alps.

Provided with learning content

In addition to entertainment, the game also casually conveys knowledge about the flora, fauna, and nature of the Alpine region. The educational elements are integrated directly into the gameplay and ensure that children discover new things without the fun of playing taking a back seat.

In this way, the crystal hunt combines gamification, storytelling, mobile gaming, and edutainment into an entertaining brand experience for children – with real added value from the parents’ perspective as well.

Experience real holiday highlights directly in the game

The mobile game connects the digital game world with real excursion destinations and attractions in Graubünden. Players take mountain railways to Madrisa-Land, discover the famous Schellenursli House, visit Bärenland in Arosa, and encounter further highlights of the Graubünden holiday regions.

Each region was designed with several child-friendly attractions and iconic places – including well-known sights such as Tarasp Castle in the Engadin. This creates a playful journey of discovery through Graubünden that combines real holiday experiences, tourism, and digital storytelling.

The game inspires people to discover the places not only virtually, but also in real life – creating a strong connection between gamification, family holidays, and destination marketing.
